The enRichMyData project successfully hosted the session “Data Enrichment for Industry: Unlocking the Potential of Reference Data” at DataWeek 2025, attracting strong interest from participants across research and industry. The interactive workshop provided a deep dive into advanced data enrichment techniques using tools from the enRichMyData open-source toolbox.
The session was designed to give hands-on experience to attendees, who explored practical solutions for linking, semantically enriching, and interacting with data. The focus was on two key innovations from the project:
- SemTUI – a graphical interface for aligning tabular data with reference vocabularies, enabling semantic enrichment and data linking with ease.
- Talk to Your Graph – a chatbot interface developed by Ontotext that allows users to interact with complex knowledge graphs using natural language.
The workshop was led by project researchers Matteo Palmonari (Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca) and Nikola Tulechki (Ontotext), with an introductory presentation by Nikolay Nikolov (SINTEF AS). Participants were actively involved in a live demonstration using real data samples, engaged in interactive Q&A, and contributed feedback to support future improvements of the toolbox. The session sparked engaging discussions and opened new avenues for collaboration. Many attendees expressed interest in partnering with the enRichMyData team and exploring how these tools could be integrated into their own data ecosystems.
